Carole joined Roger’s team full time in 1996 having worked part time during her student holidays. She gained her Chartered Accountant status in 2013 having previously qualified with ACCA. She has been a director since 2014 and has a wealth of experience working with small business accounts. She heads up the accounts team as well as managing the business, alongside Jenny B.
Jenny has worked for us since 2008 and become a director in 2018. She is a Fellow Member of AAT (FMATT). She specialises in VAT, CIS & Bookkeeping. She is our Xero expert and manages our team of bookkeepers, as well as managing the business alongside Carole.
Danielle is a part qualified ACCA accountant with over 15 years experience. She has worked for us since 2018. She manages our personal tax department, looking after self assessment and capital gains tax. She also looks after a variety of accounts work.
Jenny V has worked for us since 2014. She is an expert in payroll with 22 years experience. She looks after all of our payroll customers.
Alisha joined us as an apprentice in 2017. She has completed both her AAT and ACA qualifications with us and is now a chartered accountant. She looks after accounts work for a variety of our clients, including more complex work.
Kate joined us in May 2022. She keeps us all organised. She looks after all things that are not accounts. You will hear from her with reminders for your records and she also sends out all of the accounts when they are ready. Kate is currently working towards her AAT Level 2.
Poppy has worked for us since 2021. She is an apprentice and has completed AAT level 2. She is now studying towards her AAT level 3. She looks after accounts and is also a member of the bookkeeping team.
Claire joined our team in 2016. She is our off site bookkeeping whizz.
Roger founded Roger Smallman & Co in the 1980’s, with invaluable experience gained from his previous positions. The business was incorporated in 1999 and has retained it’s personal service that Roger instilled. All of the current team worked with and learnt from Roger and he is now enjoying his well deserved retirement.
